The building is located in a prime location in Zurich. It is now due for conversion. The architect in charge needs reliable planning data. In our opinion, a building survey and evaluation in 3D is the optimal and most efficient solution to capture and reproduce the actual condition.

VDE recorded the building using a 3D laser scanner. So that the property could be recorded promptly, we received reinforcement from our partner company Osterwalder Lehmann Ingenieure und Geometer AG. With two laser scanners in use, we were able to record the building within one week.

For the evaluation in 3D ArchiCAD a team of 14 employees worked together. The result is impressive. We delivered a highly precise 3D model to the customer, including layouted 2D floor plans, facade views and sections.

In addition, suspended ceilings were modeled in several layers in the plans so that the ceiling structure is also reflected in the 3D model.
