Efficient Building Surveying: One-Day Survey | Schwanden, GL

Fourteen years ago, here at VDE Villa Digital Engineering AG, we recognized the potential of 3D laser scanning for construction projects involving existing buildings. Today, digital surveying is indispensable for the renovation, modernization, and expansion of existing buildings.

One example is our latest project in Schwanden: We surveyed the entire building in a single morning and processed the data that very same day. The speed and precision we achieve today would have been unthinkable 14 years ago. Back then, we would have needed at least two days on-site and three to four workdays in the office.

This progress is not only due to technical advancements such as faster scanning speeds or much more automated data processing. It is also the result of 14 years and hundreds of projects, each broken down into countless small steps of improvement.
