Herrentrottenstrasse, Wiesenwangen

The inconspicuous building in the middle of the vineyards of Wiesendangen could easily be overlooked, but as soon as you open the gates, you are surprised by wondrous discoveries. An impressive wine press takes up almost the entire first floor and the fine craftsmanship of the wooden beams and roof structure is a testament to masterful craftsmanship.

VDE was commissioned to survey the building using state-of-the-art 3D laser scanning technology. Millions of points were merged to capture every detail.

From these points, a precise 3D model was created, tracing the path from as-built to point cloud to as-built model. The images in this reference are a testament to the modern, technological yet still artisanal service of building surveying.
