Beautiful historic features combined with modern furniture and accessories create an unparalleled atmosphere, making this characterful house in an exclusive location a popular venue for weddings and banquets. Now the hotel is set to undergo a comprehensive renovation. To this end, VDE has surveyed the building’s interior and exterior using a laser scanner. Since the roof structure is difficult to visualize, drone imagery was captured to supplement the laser scanning data.
The data was analyzed in 3D ArchiCAD using the VDE Premium drawing standard. To ensure the client had the surrounding area and neighboring buildings included in the new planning documents, these were modeled as cubes.
