We are pleased to present another exciting reference project: The measurement of a residential building with an attached stable in Uster - realized in 3D with Vectorworks.
This project combined traditional building fabric with clear requirements for modern planning: a historically grown residential building, supplemented by a stable extension.
Why 3D modeling makes sense:
- The existing building becomes spatially comprehensible Heights, slopes, roof shapes and transitions between the residential building and stable are clearly legible in 3D - without any loss of interpretation.
- Planning can take place directly in the model Architects can continue working directly on the existing model, checking variants and connections directly in the real geometry.
- Conflicts, collisions and dependencies are identified early on - before they become expensive on the construction site.
- Laser scanning on site - The building was recorded using 3D laser scanners, providing us with millions of measurable point data.
- Point cloud processing - The raw data was registered, checked and prepared for modeling.
- 3D model in Vectorworks - Based on the point cloud, we created a complete 3D model - including wall thicknesses, heights, roof shapes and materialization.
- Export & further processing - The model was output in such a way that it can be used directly for planning tasks, visualizations or as a basis for further CAD/BIM work.
The result: a high-precision 3D as-built model that accurately depicts the reality of the residential building with stable. It not only serves as documentation, but also as a reliable basis for renovation planning, conversion or extension work.
