As part of this project, we were able to capture the interior and exterior of a stately villa on the university campus using 3D laser scanning. The aim was to precisely survey the existing building, reliably mapping not only the main geometry but also the characteristic details of the historic building.
As even the smallest elements are relevant for the university - such as decorations on railings, paneling and stucco work in the interior - the 3D modeling from point clouds was implemented in our Premium drawing standard. This level of detail enables a realistic depiction of the actual condition and creates maximum planning reliability.
The result is a high-quality 3D as-built model (CAD / BIM) as a reliable basis for analysis, further planning and future interventions in the existing building.
Building surveys with laser scanners, point clouds for BIM and precise 3D models are crucial when historical substance is to be preserved and further developed in a well-founded manner.
