The Swiss painter and sculptor Martin Disler has created a group of 66 life-size bronze figures in an intensive creative process. With its current exhibition, the Kirchner Museum Davos offers visitors the extraordinary experience of seeing the sculptures on site.
Now, 30 years later, together with HEGIAS AG - building imagination, we have the privilege of transferring the sculptures, which are considered the culmination of his sculptural work, into the virtual world.
For this purpose, VDE - Villa Digital Engineering AG has measured and photographed sculptures with 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry. In the next step, 3D models of the sculptures suitable for virtual reality will be modeled from the thousands of data and will be available in the library of HEGIAS VR.
This will make it possible to visit the sculptures and paintings - which will be on display in Davos until November 7, 2021 - as the second exhibition from the Kirchner Museum from the past, and to enjoy them at leisure from anywhere in the world.
Thanks to virtual reality. Thanks to VDE and HEGIAS VR.
