“Ah, those old plans, sketches, and blueprints—from a time when everything was still better!”
Was that time really better? When architects, civil engineers, electricians, and mechanical engineers still drew all their plans by hand. When entire boxes full of plans were archived in the basement. When plan books with projects and plan numbers were kept by hand.
That era is over. The new era isn’t better or worse—it’s simply the future.
What remains is the knowledge contained in these old plans: the built environment that has evolved over time, construction details, and decisions made by generations before us. This knowledge must not be left to gather dust in a basement or be lost during the next renovation.
That’s why we’re digitizing these plans—and with them, a piece of architectural history that would otherwise simply disappear at some point.
