From 13.05 to 19.05, we were able to experience an unforgettable trip to Vietnam as a team. For many of us it was our first time in Asia, and after the first few hours it was already clear that this trip would remain in our memories for a long time to come.
Day 1 - Arrival in VietnamOur journey began in Chur and took us via Zurich and Doha to Ho Chi Minh City, the beating heart of Vietnam. After a long but exciting day of travel, we finally arrived in Vietnam. We were joined by Markus from our partner company OLIG, and although we arrived late, we were determined to make the most of the evening. That's why we first visited the office of our colleagues from VMTS. Then we went to Restaurant XVI and tried our way through the varied menu. The first evening was a perfect start to our trip.
Day 2 - Onward journey to Ho TramOn the second day, we set off by car towards Ho Tram by the sea. The journey already showed us the impressive diversity of Vietnam: lively cities, countless scooter riders and tropical landscapes. Once we arrived at the beautiful Intercontinental Hotel, we were able to really relax for the first time. In the evening, we went out for a typical Vietnamese meal and later rounded off the day in a cozy bar.
Day 3 - Team building on the beachThe next morning was all about team building. Various games and activities awaited us right on the beach, where team spirit, communication and, of course, lots of fun were required. The relaxed atmosphere and the shared laughter strengthened our team spirit enormously. Another special moment was the gift from Jan: each of us received a jersey from the Vietnamese national football team with our own name on it. We wore these jerseys during the team building session on the beach, which of course created a special atmosphere and was perfect for the day. In the afternoon, we enjoyed some free time by the sea and in the pool. With warm weather, a good atmosphere and a fantastic view, we were able to simply switch off and enjoy the moment. In the evening, the gala dinner took place, definitely one of the highlights of the trip. In addition to excellent food, there were exciting games and even an impressive show that we will all remember for a long time. We were particularly struck by the open and enthusiastic nature of the Vietnamese. Compared to us Swiss, they seem much more relaxed and fun-loving. The only small disadvantage: it was really loud everywhere, but that's probably part of the Vietnamese way of life.
Day 4 - Back to Ho Chi Minh CityUnfortunately, it was time to check out again on Sunday and head back to Ho Chi Minh City. There we visited a market in Saigon, where we were able to buy some great things and souvenirs. Between the many stalls, colors and smells, we got another very special impression of everyday life in Vietnam.
Day 5 - Relaxation and conclusionOn Monday, we started the day with a hearty breakfast. After all the impressions and activities, our team also needed some rest. That's why we treated ourselves to a relaxing massage, which was just what we needed after such an intensive trip. Before heading home, we visited Landmark 81, the tallest building in Vietnam, on our last day. With a height of 461.2 meters and a total of 81 floors, it is one of the most impressive landmarks in Ho Chi Minh City. The view over the huge city was the perfect end to our trip.
Closing wordsFinally, we would like to thank Livio and Jan as a team. The entire trip was organized by them and planned with great commitment. Thanks to their great efforts, we were able to experience Vietnam at its best and collect many unforgettable memories.
