Laser Scanning of an Existing Half-Timbered Building | Obermühlestrasse, Andelfingen, ZH

It was clear from the very first scan: The building on Obermühlestrasse in Andelfingen is a true gem. The intricately crafted half-timbered structure was captured with state-of-the-art 3D laser scanning technology with millimeter precision to digitally record every detail, from the beam joints to the delicate structures.

The point cloud was used to create a pure 3D model in ArchiCAD that faithfully reproduces the half-timbered structure and all other architectural elements. The digital model serves as a precise basis for planning, renovation, or restoration and impressively demonstrates how historic architecture and state-of-the-art surveying technology complement each other perfectly.
