Deformation-Accurate Structural Modeling of a Road Underpass | Sagogn, GR

In the picturesque village of Sagogn, the architect plans to build a connecting road. However, to preserve the village’s character and the existing barn, the road is to pass through the building. This is an exciting project that requires meticulous planning.

For this reason, the planning team commissioned VDE to model the barn in 3D ArchiCAD using laser scanning. The 3D model shows the barn in its current condition and in detail.

The beams that have warped over the years, the crooked joists and floors, as well as the mezzanines and wooden structures, are now clearly visible. Nothing now stands in the way of efficient planning.
