Laufenplatz, Laufenburg

Our 3D model of the historic town hall on Laufenplatz in Laufenburg (AG) shows how we combine digital technology and monument preservation to capture the existing building and its history in the highest level of detail.

The building, which was originally built as a hospital with a chapel around 1600 and was converted into a town hall in 1914, is an important part of the heritage conservation inventory in the canton of Aargau. It has a long, multi-layered history of use: from a welfare facility for the needy to a center of municipal administration.

However, despite its historical value, the town hall no longer meets all current standards, which is why a renovation is planned. A precise, digitally captured 3D model is an indispensable basis for planning, tendering and execution, especially in projects like this. Our scan-to-BIM model provides
