For this project, we were able to convert three existing farmhouses - each consisting of a residential part and stables - into a consistent 3D model based on our point clouds.
Such buildings are the result of many construction phases, with extensions, adaptations and design differences over decades characterizing the structure. It is precisely this evolved quality that makes them challenging to plan.
Our task was to precisely map this existing structure.
The point cloud forms the basis for this: it shows deformations, deviations and transitions that are often missing in classic plans. This information was specifically translated into a deformation-compliant 3D model.
The result is a reliable planning basis that depicts the actual condition and enables sound further processing.
Particularly when renovating existing buildings, the quality lies not in reinterpreting, but in precisely understanding what is already there.
