It’s loud, the heat is stifling, there are huge crowds everywhere, and the traffic is more chaotic than I could have imagined.
Does it seem like I didn’t enjoy it? I did enjoy it—very much so! The harmony that flows from such diversity is wonderful. You feel like a tiny ant that’s part of a greater whole.
I, João Sanches from VDE—Villa Digital Engineering AG—had the opportunity to spend two weeks in Saigon and meet the team at our subsidiary, VMT Solutions, in person for the first time.
Watching a team of over 40 people interact with one another and have fun is a wonderful feeling. Due to cultural differences, people in Vietnam value their connections with coworkers much more than in Switzerland. In Vietnam, there are no “coworkers”—you don’t notice the separation between personal life and work.
I could sense how young the city of Saigon is, how it’s growing, and the potential it holds. We at VDE are committed to seizing and fostering that potential.
