For many years, the Jelmoli department store branch was located at this site. Just imagine—back then, the store even advertised its use of an advanced air curtain instead of swing or revolving doors and was proud to have the first escalator in all of Aargau.

When you read about all that today, you quickly realize that it’s time to take the next step and modernize the site. The world has changed, and it’s important for this location to keep up with the times as well.

Several teams of architects and landscape architects have developed their visions for the future of the City-Galerie site in Brugg.

To plan the minimal demolition of the existing structures as effectively as possible, we used the site survey to create a 3D model as the foundation for the site’s future.
