Scan-to-BIM Timber-Frame Renovation | Richterswil

In this project, state-of-the-art laser technology meets traditional construction methods. The historic half-timbered building is being renovated. VDE is providing a comprehensive package ranging from surveying the building using a laser scanner to creating a 3D BIM model.

The impact of high-precision 3D models is significant, reducing costs and risks as early as the planning and construction phases. This is because all steps in the construction process are linked together and mapped out in a digital workflow. This allows potential problems and conflicts to be identified early on in the 3D model of the planned construction project, which can then be resolved digitally right away.
